TEREA Strength Chart 2026: Every Flavour From Lightest to Strongest
The TEREA strength chart ranks every TEREA flavour from the lightest taste to the strongest. The lightest TEREA are Silver and Yellow. The fullest tobacco taste is Bronze, together with the Japanese Bold Regular and Rich Regular. The strongest menthol is the Black series, led by Black Menthol Japan and Black Green Indonesia.
Strength on this chart means taste intensity: body, cooling and throat feel. It does not mean nicotine. Most TEREA sticks we sell list about 0.5 mg of nicotine per stick, so moving up or down the chart changes how full or cold a stick feels, not how much nicotine it gives. We built the chart from the tasting notes of every carton on our shelves in Business Bay and from what our customers tell us every day.
Key takeaways
- Lightest: TEREA Silver and TEREA Yellow, from AED 130.
- Medium: Sienna, Teak and Dimensions, from AED 120.
- Medium to full: TEREA Amber, from AED 130.
- Strongest tobacco: Bronze, Bold Regular Japan and Rich Regular Japan, from AED 125.
- Strongest menthol: the TEREA Black series, from AED 125.
- Nicotine stays about the same across the chart. Body and cooling are what change.

How we rate strength on the TEREA strength chart
A TEREA stick has three things that decide how strong it feels. We score each flavour on all three, then place it on the chart.
Body
Body is how full and roasted the tobacco tastes. Silver has a light, clean body. Bronze has a full, rounded body that fills the mouth. Body is the main thing that separates the four tobacco levels.
Cooling
Cooling is how much menthol a stick carries. Regular sticks have none. Turquoise has classic cooling. The Black series has the most. Because cooling adds a lot of sensation, a cold menthol often feels stronger than a full tobacco stick, even when the tobacco underneath is lighter.
Throat feel
Throat feel is how much of the vapour you notice in your throat. Fuller tobacco and colder menthol both increase it. Smokers who miss the throat hit of a cigarette usually feel happiest one level higher than they expected.
What about nicotine?
Nicotine is the factor most smokers expect to change, but it changes very little across the range. That is why a heavy smoker can still enjoy a medium stick: satisfaction comes from body and throat feel more than from a different nicotine level. Always check the pack for the exact figure for your carton.
Level 1: the lightest TEREA flavours
The lightest TEREA are TEREA Silver and TEREA Yellow. Both have a mild tobacco base and no menthol in their regular versions.
- TEREA Silver Uzbekistan (AED 130): tobacco with a herbal, earthy edge.
- TEREA Silver Swiss (AED 160): the smoothest, lightest draw, with subtle herbal notes.
- TEREA Yellow Uzbekistan (AED 130): smooth tobacco with a light citrus twist.
- TEREA Yellow Swiss (AED 160): light tobacco with a fresh lemon note.
- TEREA Yellow Italy (AED 230): mellow and zesty.
Choose level 1 if you smoked light or gold-pack cigarettes, if you are new to heated tobacco, or if regular tobacco sticks feel too heavy after a meal. If you want to compare the Silver origins in detail, read TEREA Silver Uzbekistan vs Italy vs Swiss.
Level 2: medium TEREA flavours
Medium TEREA sticks have a fuller body than Silver but stay smooth. They suit most everyday smokers who want taste without heaviness.
- TEREA Sienna: rich, woody tobacco with a light black tea aroma. From AED 120 for the Indonesian carton.
- TEREA Teak: creamy, nutty tobacco with a full aroma but moderate intensity. From AED 160 for Teak Swiss.
- TEREA Dimensions: Apricity is tobacco with fruit and warm undertones; Yugen is floral and fruity. Both AED 125.
- Japanese Regular series: Smooth Regular and Balanced Regular sit at the lighter end of the Japan range, AED 210.
Level 3: TEREA Amber, medium to full
TEREA Amber is the classic middle of the TEREA strength chart: roasted tobacco with woody and nutty notes and a dry finish. It is fuller than Sienna and a step lighter than Bronze.
- TEREA Amber Uzbekistan (AED 130): the boldest Amber and the best value.
- TEREA Amber Swiss (AED 160): the smoothest.
- TEREA Amber Italy (AED 198): the clearest nutty finish.
Amber is the stick we suggest most often to smokers who are not sure where to start, because it leaves room to step lighter or fuller. See all three cartons on our TEREA Amber page, or compare it head to head in TEREA Amber vs Bronze.
Level 4: the strongest TEREA tobacco flavours
The strongest TEREA tobacco taste is TEREA Bronze, together with the Japanese Bold Regular and Rich Regular sticks.
- TEREA Bronze Indonesia (AED 125): roasted tobacco with cocoa and dried fruit, the best-value full stick.
- TEREA Bronze Swiss (AED 160): the smoothest Bronze.
- TEREA Bronze Italy (AED 198): the most full-bodied Bronze.
- TEREA Bold Regular Japan (AED 210): rich, full-bodied tobacco with no menthol.
- TEREA Rich Regular Japan (AED 210): deep tobacco with malt notes.
Choose level 4 if you smoked full-flavour red-pack cigarettes or if medium sticks feel flat to you. Our best TEREA for heavy smokers guide goes deeper on this level.
TEREA menthol strength chart: gentle to ice-cold

| Classic | TEREA Turquoise, TEREA Purple Wave, Menthol Japan, Blue Indonesia, Green Indonesia | AED 125 |
| Cold | Black Yellow Menthol Japan, Scarlet Edition Indonesia, Bright Wave Indonesia | AED 120 |
| Ice-cold | Black Menthol Japan, Black Green Indonesia, Black Purple Menthol Japan | AED 125 |

Where capsule and clove sticks sit on the chart
TEREA Pearl capsule sticks
Pearl sticks such as Sun Pearl and Oasis Pearl have two strengths in one stick. Before you click the bead they sit near level 1 or 2. After the click they become fruitier and cooler, usually in the classic menthol band. Compare all of them on TEREA Pearl.
Indonesian clove editions
The Indonesian edition sticks, such as Golden Edition, Auburn Edition and Emerald Edition, add a kretek-style clove note. The spice makes them feel medium to full, even when the tobacco base is mellow.

How to use the TEREA strength chart
- Start one level below your cigarette. Heated tobacco feels different, so many smokers enjoy a slightly lighter stick at first.
- Give it a week. Taste adapts. A stick that feels light on day one often feels right by day five.
- Move one level at a time. If a stick feels flat, go one step fuller rather than jumping to the strongest.
- Keep two cartons. Many customers keep a fuller stick for mornings and a lighter or menthol stick for later in the day.
- Keep sticks fresh. Heat-damaged sticks taste weaker. Read our guide on storing TEREA in Dubai heat.
Does origin change TEREA strength?
Origin changes the accent more than the level. The same flavour name keeps the same idea in every country, but blends differ slightly.
- Uzbekistan (AED 130): often the boldest version of each flavour.
- Swiss (AED 160): usually the smoothest.
- Italy (from AED 198): the most aromatic.
- Indonesia (from AED 120): the best value and the home of the clove editions.
- Japan (from AED 210): the widest spread, from Smooth Regular to the ice-cold Black menthols.
Our TEREA by country guide compares every origin with prices.
Why a stick can feel weaker than its level
If a stick tastes lighter than the chart says, the cause is usually not the flavour. Check these first:
- Heat damage: cartons left in a car or in the sun dry out and lose taste.
- Fake sticks: counterfeit TEREA heats badly. See how to spot fake TEREA.
- Low battery: a device that is nearly empty can end sessions early.
- Fast, short puffs: slow, steady puffs give more flavour.
Our guide why does my TEREA taste weak covers each cause and fix.
Which device do these sticks need?
Every stick on this chart works only in IQOS ILUMA devices: ILUMA i ONE from AED 160, ILUMA i from AED 265 and ILUMA i PRIME from AED 330, plus the original ILUMA models. They do not work in IQOS 3 DUO. Read can you use TEREA in IQOS 3 DUO for the full answer.
