All TEREA Flavors Guide: Every Origin, Taste & UAE Price

TEREA sells in four flavor families — classic tobacco, menthol, fruity Wave, and click-capsule Pearl — and the same flavor often shows up under different names depending on the country it was made in. In the UAE you’ll mostly see packs from Japan, Indonesia, Switzerland, Italy and Uzbekistan. Every one of them fits IQOS ILUMA only. This guide maps all TEREA flavors so you can find yours, and shows which origin to actually buy here.

Here’s the thing most guides skip: a flavor like Amber exists in several origins at different prices. So the real question isn’t only “what tastes good” — it’s “which version of it do I buy in Dubai without overpaying.” We’ll answer both.

First, a quick heads-up. TEREA sticks contain tobacco and nicotine. Nicotine is addictive. These products are for adults 18 and over who already use tobacco or nicotine. They’re built for IQOS ILUMA devices and must never go into an older blade-based IQOS.

The short version — pick a flavor in one line

Short on time? Start here.

New to all of this? Buy Amber. It sits right in the middle, and almost nobody dislikes it. Branch out from there.

How TEREA sorts its flavors

Four families cover the whole range. Once you know them, the long list stops feeling like a wall of colours.

Classic tobacco. Pure heated-tobacco taste, no mint or fruit. The differences come from strength and notes like wood, malt, nuts and cocoa.

Menthol. Cooling, from a light mint touch up to a cold blast. Some keep the tobacco taste in front; some bury it under peppermint.

Flavoured menthol / Wave. Cooling plus fruit or citrus, running the whole stick. No capsule to press.

Pearl (capsule). There’s a tiny bead in the filter. Start smoking and you get the tobacco base. Press the bead — you’ll hear a click — and a fruit or cooling flavor releases for the rest of the stick. Two flavors in one.

That’s it. Every TEREA you’ll see fits one of those four.

Every classic tobacco flavor, mild to strong

If you want tobacco and nothing else, this is your family. Sorted from lightest to heaviest.

Flavor Strength Main notes Best for
Yellow Mild Bright, zesty, light tobacco Lightest everyday pick
Silver Mild Subtle, lightly herbal People who find Amber too much
Amber Balanced Wood, light nuts, toasted The safe all-rounder
Teak Balanced Cream, roasted nuts, warm Smooth without being strong
Sienna Rich Wood, light tea, toasted Depth without going full-strength
Bronze Rich Cocoa, dried fruit, warm Aromatic, slightly sweet tobacco
Russet Very strong Toasted, malty, full-bodied The heaviest of the core range

Want the strongest widely sold tobacco? That’s Russet. There’s also a heavier blend called Kona in a few markets, but it’s hard to find and has been dropped in places, so don’t count on it.

Menthol and cooling flavors

Mint lovers, this is your shelf. The cold ranges from gentle to serious.

Flavor Cooling Notes Where you’ll see it
Green Medium Green mint over toasted tobacco Most markets
Turquoise Crisp Fresh, slightly zesty Most markets
Blue Deep Peppermint, creamy vanilla Some markets
Menthol Deep Peppermint, creamy Japan
Mint Balanced Mint with clear tobacco Japan
Black Menthol Very strong Cold hit, faint green fruit Japan

Green is the easy starting mint. Black Menthol is the deep end — pick it only if you already know you like a strong cold hit.

Fruity and Wave flavors

These mix cooling with fruit, and the taste runs the whole stick. No clicking needed.

Purple Wave is the popular one: dark forest berries with a cool finish. You’ll also see it labelled Mauve Wave in some markets — same berry-and-menthol idea. Ruby Wave leans toward brighter red berries with a light floral note. Summer Wave brings mixed fruit and floral, and shows up mainly in Central Asian packs.

Japan runs a big “Black” fruit-menthol line too — think blueberry (Black Purple), raspberry (Black Ruby), citrus (Black Yellow), mango (Tropical Menthol) and peach (Black Fuchsia). Most pair a strong cold hit with one clear fruit.

Pearl capsule flavors — the click ones

Press the bead, get a second flavor. Here’s what each one turns into.

Flavor Before you click After you click
Oasis Pearl Creamy, nutty tobacco Passion fruit + cooling
Amelia Pearl (a.k.a. Sun Pearl) Toasted, spicy-herbal tobacco Watermelon + cooling
Abora Pearl (a.k.a. Arbor Pearl) Toasted, malty tobacco Green apple + cooling
Twilight Pearl Full, malty tobacco Blueberry + cooling
Riviera Pearl Woody, light-tea tobacco Raspberry + floral cooling
Provence Pearl (a.k.a. Shine Pearl) Malty tobacco Grape + cooling

Indonesia adds its own clove-based Pearls (like Bermin and Perint) that start with a spiced clove base before the fruit release — a taste you won’t get from European origins.

New to capsules? Oasis or Amelia are the friendliest first buys.

The part nobody explains: same flavor, different origin name

This trips up a lot of UAE buyers. You see two packs with different names, assume they’re two flavors, and buy both. They’re often the same thing under a different market’s label.

One name Also sold as It’s basically…
Purple Wave Mauve Wave Dark berry + menthol
Amelia Pearl Sun Pearl Watermelon capsule
Abora Pearl Arbor Pearl Green apple capsule
Provence Pearl Shine Pearl Grape capsule

One honest caveat: matching descriptions don’t 100% guarantee an identical recipe. Factories in different countries can tweak a blend a little. But for choosing what to buy, treat these pairs as the same flavor and pick the origin that’s cheaper or easier to get. Don’t pay twice for the “two.”

Which TEREA origins can you actually buy in the UAE?

Plenty of guides list origins from around the world. Most of those you can’t get here. These are the ones we stock and that show up on UAE shelves by country, and what each is known for.

Indonesia — the widest range and usually the lowest price. Home to the clove-based blends and several Pearls you won’t find elsewhere.

Uzbekistan — a growing range that mixes strong tobacco bases with fun fruit capsules. Solid value.

Switzerland — a tidy, even split of regular and menthol. Clean, dependable blends.

Italy — smooth, classic, no-drama tobacco. Good if you like it simple.

Japan — the biggest and most adventurous menthol and fruit lineup (all those “Black” flavors), and usually one of the pricier origins.

What each origin costs — roughly

Across UAE sellers, a carton of 200 sticks generally lands in this order, cheapest to priciest: Indonesia → Uzbekistan → Switzerland → Italy → Japan. As a market reference, that spread runs from around AED 125 for Indonesian up to about AED 210 for Japanese packs. (Prices move and vary by shop.)

[TEREA OUTLET PRICE: insert your current carton prices per origin here]

Here’s the maths that matters: a carton holds 200 sticks (ten packs of twenty). Divide the carton price by 200 and you get the cost per stick.

  • AED 125 ÷ 200 ≈ 63 fils a stick
  • AED 240 ÷ 200 = AED 1.20 a stick

So the same daily habit can cost nearly double, depending only on which origin you grab. If your flavor exists in two origins — say Amber in both Switzerland and Italy — check both prices before you commit to a carton.

Pick your flavor in 30 seconds

Read the line that sounds like you.

  • I want the strongest tobacco. → Russet.
  • I want a safe everyday tobacco. → Amber.
  • I want it mild. → Yellow, or Silver if Yellow still feels too much.
  • I want basic mint. → Green.
  • I want serious cold. → Black Menthol (Japan).
  • I want berries. → Purple Wave (grab whichever of Purple/Mauve is cheaper here).
  • I want to click a capsule. → Oasis (passion fruit) or Amelia/Sun (watermelon).
  • I want something no European pack has. → an Indonesian clove Pearl.

Still stuck? Order a single pack, not a carton, and test before you buy 200 of them.

How to spot a fake TEREA pack in the UAE

Counterfeits exist, and a fake pack tastes off and can behave badly in your device. Three quick checks before you buy or open one.

Look for the manufacturing date and origin printed on the pack — genuine packs show them clearly. A real pack arrives sealed, with clean printing and no smudged or peeling labels. And buy from a seller who tells you the flavor name, the origin, and shows the actual pack — vague listings with stock photos are a warning sign.

What a carton actually costs you

Quick recap, because it decides your monthly spend more than the flavor does.

One carton = 200 sticks = 10 packs. Cost per stick = carton price ÷ 200. An Indonesian carton works out to well under a dirham a stick; a Japanese carton runs up toward AED 1.20 each. Same nicotine, same ILUMA, different receipt. If you smoke a pack a day, that gap adds up over a month.

FAQ

Can I use TEREA sticks in my IQOS 3 DUO?

No. TEREA is made only for IQOS ILUMA devices, which heat the stick from the inside with no blade. Putting TEREA in an older blade-based IQOS 3 DUO or ORIGINALS can damage it. Older devices use HEETS instead.

What’s the strongest TEREA flavor?

Russet is the strongest tobacco flavor in the widely sold core range — toasted, malty and full-bodied. For cooling, Japan’s Black Menthol gives the hardest cold hit.

What’s the mildest TEREA flavor?

Yellow is the lightest classic tobacco, bright and easy. Silver is also mild, with a subtle herbal edge. For a gentle mint, Green is the softest cooling option.

Is Purple Wave the same as Mauve Wave?

They’re treated as the same flavor — dark berries with menthol — sold under different market names. Recipes can differ slightly between origins, so they’re not guaranteed identical, but for choosing, pick whichever is cheaper here.

Are all TEREA flavors sold in the UAE?

No. Each country has its own official range. In the UAE you’ll mainly find Japanese, Indonesian, Swiss, Italian and Uzbek packs. Rare regional flavors may need a specialist seller.

How many sticks are in a TEREA carton?

200 sticks — ten packs of twenty. Divide the carton price by 200 to get your cost per stick, which is the easiest way to compare origins on price.

Can I reuse a TEREA stick?

No. Each stick is for one session. A used stick won’t give the same taste and isn’t meant to be re-heated.

Reorder the flavor you already trust, or start with Amber and work outward one pack at a time. Test a single pack before you buy a carton — it’s the cheapest way to find your flavor without a shelf full of near-misses.
